Post Graduate Diploma in Health Care Management (PGDHCM)
Duration :1 Year ( 2 Semesters)
Eligibility: All Bachelor's Degree Holders.
Background : PGDHCM is a professionally designed program of international standard aiming to impart a foundation course in health care management in a wider sense and also prepares for some specific applications of health care management. It opens up a career and consolidates students' knowledge and also prepares them for further studies in health care management.
Objectives: The PGDHCM Program, which leads to MHCM program in the Faculty of Management Studies (FMS) of Pokhara University, is devoted to impart theoretical - cum - practical knowledge in Health Care Management. Specially, the program aims at:
- Preparing students to upgrade professional level and managerial position either in Health Care Management or in Hospital Management.
- Inculcating a positive attitude, abilities and practical skills, which that are essential for a competent and responsible manager into students.
- Developing necessary foundation for professional managerial skills in Management, especially in Health Care Management and
- Preparing students to take position as the chief of the Hospital Management: Hospital Administrator in middle sized hospitals, health projects or unit chiefs of large- scale Health Care Organizations.
